First, make sure that it's not behaving as instructed:

Press the windows key

Click Settings

Click System

Click Power & Sleep

Click Additional Power Settings

Click Choose what closing the lid does

Confirm that the settings there are as you want, not as the machine is behaving.

If everything is configured as expected, you need to update BIOS. Please submit a ticket for this.
