Whether it's for a client project, conference, or personal travel, before you depart internationally there are a few important steps you'll want to take
Dropbox 2-factor Authentication (2FA) - the easiest method is to use a mobile app for 2FA. If this isn't possible, you'll need to use SMS, which gets tricky with the SIM switching involved in international travel. If you use SMS, please do the following:
1. Before you leave your base country:
Login to Dropbox website. When prompted for 2-factor authentication (2FA), Click "Trust this computer"
Navigate to Settings - "Security"
Verify your 2FA method and phone number(s)
2. After arriving in the new country and changing your SIM
Login to Dropbox website
Navigate to Settings -> Security
Update your 2FA to your new number. You will be sent a message to confirm the number right away.
3. Upon returning to your base country and changing SIM:
Navigate to Settings -> Security
Update 2FA to your primary number. You will be sent a message to confirm the number right away.
Scroll down to "Trusted Devices" and click "Revoke All"
Input your password and click "Next" to confirm
